What is JuneJam?
JuneJam is a coordinated effort to increase public Christian concerts in
central Iowa performed by local musicians. This series of Christian concerts
will be held in venues across central Iowa during the month of June. The majority
of events will feature local Christian groups ranging from professional artists to
church-based groups. Venues will also vary from grandstands to coffe houses. The calendar
is designed to take advantage of many existing central Iowa festivals and events,
providing opportunities to reach out to many who would not normally attend a
faith-based event.
Why would a church want to enroll as a “participating church?”
You receive a link to your church web site
from the JuneJam web site. As hits to the web site continue to increase, you
will be one of the congregations benefiting from the interest and outreach
created by JuneJam.
Create excitement in your congregation
as they hear JuneJam being talked about on the radio, see the signs, attend the
concerts and know that their congregation helped make it happen.
You will give any musicians from your congregation an advantage
in being selected to perform in JuneJam, since association with a participating
church is one of the selection criteria. (The earlier you enroll, the better.)
Last, but certainly not least, you will help spread the Good News of
Christ through publicity, concerts, free sampler CDs and one-on-one
interactions created by the proactive nature of JuneJam events.
